Sega Holosseum (1992)
Sega Holosseum was a unique holographic fighting game that made the characters appear to be floating in the air.
Sega Holosseum was one of the first games to use holographic graphics, creating the illusion of 3D characters. It was developed by Sega and ran on the Sega Hologram hardware, which used a Motorola 68000 at 12.5 MHz and a Zilog Z80 for sound. The screen resolution was 256x224 pixels with a limited color palette due to the nature of the holographic projection.
Fun Fact: Despite its impressive technology, the game was not a commercial success due to problems viewing the holographic images from different angles.
