House of the Dead (1996)
Sega's House of the Dead, programmed in C and Assembly, was a zombie-themed light gun shooter that ran on the Sega Model 2 arcade board.
It used an Intel i960 processor running at 25 MHz and a Motorola 68000 for support. The screen resolution was 496x384 pixels with a palette of 16.7 million colors. The sound was produced by a Yamaha SCSP chip.
Fun Fact: Sega originally planned to add alternate paths to the game, but this idea was later implemented in House of the Dead 2.
